I continue to weep for the insidious creep of competitive culture as it secures its tendrils around the roots of the saplings of our youth.  It is bred.  It is cultivated.

Even amongst children playing their newly-invented imaginary games, the desire to win at all costs is harvested daily.  It is the bitter fruit borne of the carefully planted seeds of mindless ambition.

Global power struggles trickle all the way down to the supple soil of society.  Wars cannot be won, only lost for all participants, willing or otherwise.  When peaceful resolution cannot be achieved, we all lose.

On some level, make no mistake, we all lose.

When we antagonize another, we all lose.  When we place ourselves above any other, we all lose.

Collaboration or competition?  It’s our to choose.

Together we win or together we lose.
