The familiar horn blows

Igniting throes and woes

Daggers in the dark

Smothering the spark

To arms! Wield the shield!

Ancient Aegis to protect and heal

Will falter. Won’t yield.

My crest is my own

Unto flesh it is sewn

Unlike that of my clan

For I am my own man
